Tom got involved with yoga after spinal surgery and since has been committed to bringing yoga to others.  His gentle approach to Yoga is in the traditional Hatha style.  As Tom says, “There is a reason it has been around over five thousand years.”  It was during his physical rehabilitation that Tom recognized a lot of the exercises the physical therapists had him doing as being traditional Yoga.  Together with his physical therapists it was decided that Tom would continue his recovery outside of physical therapy by practicing modified Yoga.  He credits his recovery to Yoga having moved far beyond his medical prognosis.  It was during this time that Tom committed himself becoming certified to teach Yoga and bringing it others in need.
